Amazon.com’s press-service announced the release of a new electronic device for digital books reading, which became known as Kindle DX.

It should be noted that this device with the size of 264.2 x 182.9 x 9.7 mm and weigh 588 g is clear superior to previous products that are provided by the manufacturer. The product has a large black-and-white E-Ink display with a diagonal of 9.7 inches, resolution 1200 x 824 pixels and Auto-Rotation, equipped with a built-in tools for viewing PDF-files (using Adobe Reader Mobile Technology), has internal memory 3.3 GB for storing up to 3500 books, as well as EVDO-modem for wireless access to the service Amazon Whispernet.

As for the other technical characteristics of new items, they are:

* Support formats AZW, TXT, MP3, MOBI, PRC; PDF, HTML, DOC, JPEG, GIF, PNG and BMP;
* Interface USB 2.0 (connector micro-USB);
* 3.5-mm audio-jack to connect the headphones;

The Amazon Kindle DX will cost $489 and can be ordered now on the official website of the manufacturer.
